3 days 20 hours.. Not at all fun.... Mornings are not as bad as evenings. Work keeps me busy during the day.. After work is horrible. Try to stay busy, try not to think. At the moment, I'm eating $15 worth of fast food to curb the cravings... I don't eat fast food..... Just wanna go to sleep and wake up without a craving... What happens at 3 weeks, 30 days, 3 months??? Somebody tekks me the cravings minimize.... My brain keeps saying that it's ok to fail the first time. Trying not to believe it....

Dear Friend,

There is no shortcut to achieve what you have been trying to. To see heavens, one must die. So many years of smoke habit will.go away in few days . You are going through the reconstruction phase of your new self.

Trust me, I am not 3 day or 3 week or 3 month but whole 8 month smoke free now.

You have to understand that smoking is not a natural thing to do for ur body. Your body is not made to e joy smoke..It's the mind which e joy the smoke on the cost of ur body.

You have to find ur motivation to stay quit ..It's different for each of us. For me, it was for kids for a better health.

The symptoms of withdrawal are so powerful in first few days but gradually ur brain will ve re wired or re programmed and not smoking will become way of life without concious effort.

You must not fail for initial few days .While mind will always day that there is always a second chance but trust me that this nicotine monster really need some adamant conviction initially .

Feel free to kick me , turn me upside down, shout at me when u have to I those moments of anxiety but don't smoke again and be strong by choice .

With u

Ur friend in need

schedule 1 May 2019

Also don't worry about 15$. They are a good investment if they help to trim down ur craving. Trust me people spend a fortune on medicine, patches ,pill etc .Enjoy ur food till u can't eat more, drink a lots of water and crash for 15 days..Forget the healthy advices etc if eating and sleep work for u. Initial few days of ur non smoking period is what that is more important.

Disclaimer: this is my personal point of view and u have full right to debate or deviate.i am just sharing my point of view here

The 3 days mark are the worst, it gets easier I swear, I have been quit for almost 7 month and it is soooooo easy now, the challenge was 3 days, 7 days, 1 month, 3 month, 5 month or close enough after 6 month you won't even miss it. It's not easy nobody said it was, everybody in here struggled somehow but a lot made it, if I can do it so can you, just hang in there. I had a lot of junk food and lollies myself for about a month and half, then it does get easier by the day

schedule 2 May 2019

There is no doubt that smoking is much worse than a few pounds gained. I even read once that quitting smoking was equivalent to losing 80 lbs. That is a lot of impact on our bodies. Imagine the fat build up around the heart, trying to pump life into us... around our livers trying to rid us of toxins. Now realise, that that is exactly what nicotine and the thousands of toxins in a cigarette do to us as well.

Drink plenty of water, exercise, eat breakfast, and cut down on the coffee (by half ) to all negate effects that might be misconstrued as cravings. Know that cravings are generally just thoughts, so turn your mind to something pleasant. Keep busy, exercise makes a great time waster, as amoking did. Deep breaths will relax you as to also give you some evidence of health improvement almost immediately after quitting smoking.l

Popcorn, but go easy on the butter, that's where the calories are, is a good hand to mouth action, satisfying and delicious. Joining a weight group, or better eating or fitness app may divert your attention from smoking rather than always being here. Planning my meals and recording them takes time, thought, and then cooking them some more......

You can do this as many before you have. Believe you can and you will find it in you to do so. Positive thinking brings positive results!

schedule 2 May 2019

Keep the faith. Stay positive, as you should be turning the corner and the nicotine out of your system. The best advice is the MINDSET. Hate the cigarette, do not desire it, for it will have you crave after it. Denounce it from your life and move forward, thankful that you have been through the worst of it , and now hold the power of your destiny.

You started this journey to become a non-smoker, and now you are. Can you accept that? You faced the fear of Day 1 and are here. You are not afraid to proceed now that you have succeeded are you? Rejoice in your freedom and victory, do not self doubt or cast fear. Believe that it is not natural for us to smoke and that there is life after smoking. Do you think we all lie about our amazing bounces back to health?

Believe that you are free and you are. The mind is a powerful thing.
