My hubby will be 30 days smoke free May 26th. We are both on Champix, he quit after the starter pack and I’m on the continue pack & am still smoking. I have cut it back to 4 or 5 a day from 25, but I can’t get this nicotine monster out of my brain. Arrrggh

Congrats to you both for making positive life style change. No matter how long it takes , as long as the result is the same and you remain quit, you are winners. You may want to read a post of mine called "given up , given up" which may help you to adjust your mindset and help to cut out those last cigarettes. I have also posted a link to Allan Carr's book absolutely free to help you . You can quit if you make the effort and think positive about it. You are not giving up anything, but GAINING more than you can imagine at this moment. Read the stories here. Understanding and motivation is key.

Hi Simpson, I quit using champix and got to week 3-4 and was panicking it was not going to work, it happened over night though, I just stopped 3 days after my quit date. Tried a couple that week but really wasn’t interested. I am glad I waited a little longer as I just was not ready, I am now on day 53. I still take morning tablet and half in evening. Have another month as well if needed. I feel I have overcome my addiction but needed the champix. Your day is coming very soon, and you will feel so good. Follow happiness advice and read Allan Carr’s book for reinforcement. All the best to you and hubby
