Just starting out..

1 day & 17 hours... Right now this sucks... Working to overcome cravings but doesn't feel like I'm accomplishing much... I'm determined so hopefully it will get better...

Terps, my first post was much like yours 'Smoke Free now for 2D 23H and 49min', my ninth post was a few days ago and it was 205 Days. Yes it sucks to start but it does get easier. Quiting is one of the best decisions you can make for your health, finances and people around you. Others have beaten the addiction and so CAN you.

I'm on day 5 today and know exactly how it feels. But I can already feel that I'm no longer wheezing when I lie in bed at night, my sense of smell and taste is coming back. Whenever the craving hits me I breath deeply and am glad for the fact that I can. Best of luck to you, stay strong!

Feel our support behind you. You are not alone because we have all been there and fought our way through, and made it. You can too. Those cravings are just mere thoughts, turn your mind and hands to something else. Know that when the nicomonster comes begging, it it because he is dying. You hold the power now. Soon he will weaken and stop bothering you. You will have won and be on the road to smelling the roses once again. It is amazing how nicotine affected our senses. Including our common sense! Once you realize that nicotine never ever did anything for you, you can let that habit go without remorse or regret. (The only ones being that we started in the first place) Embracing the goal of being a non-smoker should never be one of doubt .Reaffirm your commitment . Think positive and you will get there even sooner than you imagined.

Don't give up Terps. Come back and keep reading until you feel the desire to master this challenge. Have you read Allan Carr that I posted? Have you read my Giving up, Givin Up ..Try this! post?
Keep trying, and you will find what works for you. Anyone can quit if they truly want to. Find your reasons to truly want to.
