Well I am not quite sure how I feel. I guess it is like I am walking away from an sad old friend who if I look at it is not a friend.

I am a person who enjoys being alone so leaving this sad old friend will be a good step to being alone.

Hi Jo935, you can do this and I like Red's explanation of that soooooo called friend. Yep we were all treating our filthy little habit like a friend, and we were all silly enough to think we liked it!! Just goes to show what addiction does hey. Stay focused on one d day at a time Jo😊

schedule 3 Mar 2019

I am thrifty by nature, so whatever induce me to spend the kind of money i did to poison myself says it all!!! We were all duped, used by cigarette companies to endorse their vile product, once they addicted us to it. To save face we made ourselves believe it was cool, even if we did not like the taste or feeling that we were becoming addicted, and then once we wanted free and found it not so possible, we accepted and tried to save face by saying it enough to others, but mainly to ourselves...... we loved smokiing, it tastes good, it relaxes us........ We know know all that is false....lies.... we have known that for years.

We are familiar with "If you want something done , do it yourself" . You can do this and get it done right! I am glad you are comfortable with your own company. Cigarettes were never a friend in any dictionary. We are a community who understands you and commensurates. You are not alone on this journey. Forums are so valuable in their views, experiences and support. We hope we can make your journey not only a success but easier.
