I have tried before but failed I decided now it is real I’m using Nicolette patch therapy having weird dreams on 24 hour patch but decided on second day to take patch off before going to sleep, although I slept better I awoke very miserable and agitated not good but as soon as patch was put on I became to feel normal. that is what is normal. I know the journey is hard but felt like is it worth the challenge but then I think about all the people who smoke and the dangers on health my health this cannot go on we all have our reasons and I appreciate it’s hard only two days in but wanted to join a group for support. Fed up with preaching to others not to smoke I’m embarrassed I am an addictive smoker but determined to continue to stop. I welcome all support thank you

There is no time like the present to quit smoking. And it is a present, a gift, to yourself for the rest of your life. Enjoy the journey to becoming a non-smoker and look forward to it, rather than fear it. Group support and knowledge do help a lot, so you have made another great decision in joining iCanQuit.

Read, learn and think positive thoughts. You can do this!

Well done Lisa Jane that’s awesome! With the patches I also found it hard to sleep with them-weird dreams, so I took them off at night. I figure I don’t normally smoke all through the night so I probably don’t need nicotine then. But then you do wake up with a craving. Pretty much all NRT has always affected my sleep trying to quit so I have ultimately gone cold turkey. Whatever works for you keep it up!
