schedule 31 Dec 2018

Hi and Welcome Glenda54. I see you just joined yesterday, and hope you have taken the time to look around and read the posts to make your journey and easier and more viable one. Knowledge is power! Mindset is everything... well i advocate it, and don't think anyone disagrees.

If you put on a few pounds, your health is still far better off without the smoking. In as little as 2 or 3 days you will find you breathe easier, which means you are consuming more oxygen, and hence more energy. More energy and a little more exercise with a no empty calorie diet, a simple Mediterranean diet, which is simply better, healthier choices, and you should be fine. You have definitely ended the year right by joining this wonderful support group. Keep on with the wisdom and commitment!

Congratulations on making such an important decision, Glenda 54. It's better to be overweight than an overweight smoker. It's a great time of year to be eating yummy and nutritious salads.

schedule 1 Jan 2019

How is it going Glenda? You never said what your plan was but i inferred that you had one.

I certainly hope no one quitting smoking is intending to do so by will power alone. We want you to have the tools to aid you in a successful transformation into a non-smoker. In my posts i mention cold-turkey, but have since realized that it is SMART TURKEY when you are armed with some knowledge and tools to use. I had those tools and an easy journey. We hope you do too. Keep learning and growing!
