Greetings fellow quitters all the way from Puerto Rico!!! This time the word quit sounds good right? Well for me its been 43 days and it all started with a bad bad cold back in July 2018. During the illness I did not smoke so when I was already back to my old self I figured let me just keep on going SANS the cigs..... I have to admit it has been easier than I thought and I am guessing for the following reasons, I recently divorced an equally intense smoker as me, where I live now there are no smokers, being at ease and out of stressful situations CHECK!! GREAT HELP!! I have not been forced to quit my WINE or my COFFEE. That was a huge accomplishment for WINE, COFFEE AND CIGS, (I still think) belong together. Two weeks of light depression, bad mood and even headaches. Week three, almost all cravings were gone. Could not use exercise as anxiety therapy cause of a bad knee (YIKES!) but soon plan to incorporate that as well (YEAZ!). The color of my face, nails and skin seem brighter and even the texture of my hair has improved!!! Having said all these positive things there is still a little down side for me: EATING EVERYTHING I CAN PUT MY HANDS ON. SO, OF COURSE, I have GAINED 6 pounds and I am already an overweight woman, so I am a little worried. But hen again one thing at a time right... I'VE GOT THIS!!!!!

Yeah quitting makes one very hungry indeed. Yesterday I felt like eating all sorts of different foods. It will peeter out or so I'm told. I think weight gain is preferential to getting sick from cigs. You can lose weight after all but when you have health issues that's completely different.

Keep it up the good work being smoke free :)
