Hey Ladies & Gents!
I found this site by searching "exhaustion after quitting smoking" and so far I really love it! It's been 3 days so far, the first two I used the patch (2nd step) today nothing except for a moment ago with I started chewing a Nicorette gum because it's the only thing I could think of that might wake my brain up! Previous to this I quit smoking for almost 3 years starting in January 2014, before that I tried numerous times to quit and nothing worked. I think the reason why it was so easy in 2014 was because I started dating my now Husband and he didn't smoke, and I was in a fairy tale land of lolly pops and rainbows, you know that "new relationship" feeling? ha-ha Anyhow I was fine for almost 3 years but then one day while at work something stressed me out so bad that I caved and got a smoke off my friend to smoke, she tried to warn me not to since it had been so long since I quite, but being the Taurus I am wanted that smoke and there was nothing anyone could say or do that would have changed my mind, except me! Whatever happens DO NOT HAVE EVEN ONE! That's my downfall, I can't be just a here and there smoker, it's all or nothing for me, so for the past year I have tried again and again to quit smoking, I have went through numerous boxes of patches, gum, you name it nothing, and I mean nothing is working! So I told myself yesterday I have to take this patch off, they are making me NUTS when I run out of them, I have to do this cold turkey because that's what worked for me previously when I quite from Jan 2014 to late 2016. Well here I am, with more stresses then I had in 2014, and although my relationship with my husband is amazing, life stresses and work, and kids, and not sleeping etc.. etc... etc... are what keep triggering me back to smoking, but I know in the back of my mind this will not last forever, I do not need cigarettes to make me happy, I know this because I did it before, and I can do it again. I just need to get my energy back because I am super tired, and all I want to do is sleep. Anyone have any suggestions for gaining energy levels back? I would love to hear them! Thanks for taking the time to read my rant, I wish all you lovely people the best in quitting smoking, it can be done and I am living proof of that, even after smoking from the age of 11, yes 11 :(
I can do this and so can you! Cheers!

It sounds like you are very psychologically addicted to cigarettes you need them to feel right remember there's always 2 sides to an addiction the chemical and the psychological I tried cold turkey and it's nothing more than a nightmare trying to get from day 1 through. I can't do cold turkey again i'm addicted to the gum for example and really all your doing is replacing one addiction with another, But if you can manage it then that shows real willpower i think alot of people who go cold turkey do it mostly becuase they've had maybe a health scare, been in hospital and that was enough to scare them so much that they never touched another cigarette but it is possible to beat this addiction it's 1 day at a time.
