Good reason to stick around

I turned 51 recently. last year I married for the first time and had my first baby. I am extremely fortunate to have met my beautiful wife who is so patient and caring, and to have an absolutely adorable baby girl, now aged 15 months. Until now I didn't truly understand what "love of my life" quite meant.
My wife would be so happy if I quite, I want my daughter to be proud of me, and I want not just to be around for a long time, but for my life with my family to be wonderful.
I have tried to quit countless times, really, countless, to the point where I sometimes thought I may never be able to. That's such a depressing thought.
But today I stubmled onto this site and I'm feeling stangely good. I've been reading the stories and following the exercises, and I've set my quit date for Saturday 12/5/18 (well, Friday night actually).
Give me strenthg.

Hey Hamlet, wow you really are a proud dad.Reds words are wise, take notice of them,as are a lot of other people on this site.Use this site daily, take in the stories, the advice, the successes and the slip ups.You have the ultimate motivation with your beautiful daughter.Stay focussed buddy, make your beautiful family proud and beat each craving one at a time, take eah day head on and (this is my mantra)NO MATTER WHAT! Do not smoke,

Red-67 and Colloquial, thank you very much for your support and encouragement. In the past I've tried to do it on my own but I can see this forum being quite powerful.
I have the Allen Carr book so I'll dust it off and read it again.
Thank you.
