Will Power. Determination to go on. Establish a trigger point.
Been a smoker for many years. Gave up once for five years! Started again. Needed a damn good trigger to get me off them again. Anzac Day 2018 did it for me. Those Anzacs did it tough, but their will power, and determination got them through. My journey has to be a lot easier. Besides, who can really afford the cost of fagging these days! Only a few days in, but already saving money, cough is not so severe and I don't stink. Another three good reasons. I'm on a journey, I hope that I can stay on the right path.

All the best on your journey. I quit 9 days ago. This was after a 7 week relapse. It is hard. But we gotta keep at it. Forgive ourselves for relapsing and take measures to ensure we do not fall into the same traps. I relapsed because I witnessed a 7.5 earthquake with my room ceiling nearly falling on me. I am now working on dealing with stressful situations in a better way.
Thanks for the heads up. Yep an earthquake could do it. Was in one in Papua New Guinea many moons back. Scary stuff. I've done this cold turkey. Only major notable change is that I've stopped coughing. Oh - there's more money in the pocket as well. So far the pluses far outweighed the minuses. Hope you can stay on the patch as well. Fingers crossed.
