I am smoke free now for 20 hours. I passed the first moment of temptation this AM when I drove past the store where I usually buy my cigars and didn't stop. Yesterday evening, Instead of smoking a cigar, I ate Doritos chips, Russell stover chocolates and strawberry cheese pastries. I don't think I can do that every day, but maybe this evening I'll try it again. I've been reading Sue Grafton mystery stories and that helps a lot as it's easy to get engrossed in them and forget all about cigars for a couple of hours. Another distraction that is working well is playing Solitaire on my phone. I think that may be the next addiction I have to break. I'm off to the golf course now, where I usually smoke about 3 cigars during and after a round. This is my big challenge today, but I intend to stay smoke free.

Hi Paidi. Good to hear you have no more options other than to join the quitters. Read the comment from Johnnie. Oh so long ago we gave each other reasons to quit and these and those from others brought us to our senses as we continued to quit. Me, nearly 3 years and others before me posted thoughts. I owe it to them and my support crew to respect the time they took to support my thinking and to offer their own profound thoughts on the matter. What an amazing support crew!
