Day 1

I have smoked a pack a day (sometimes more) for about 40 years now. I'm ready to quit! I've been sick for the past few days with a cough and I know that it'll take forever to get over it (again) if I don't stop smoking. It's been 5 1/2 hours! Woohoo! I've tried before but this is the first time trying to quit with a Nicotine Patch. I hope this time it sticks!

G'day Kathiet and congratulations. I'm now on my 8th day and it's getting easier. After 40 years of smoking, the physical argument with my body seems to have gone (so soon?) and I think I'm winning the psychological argument because I quit smoking before I stopped smoking. :)

Hi Kathiet. I'm on Day 3. I've smoked on and off for 28 years. The last 2 years I've been playing head games with myself to quit. I feel pretty good today, but my schedule it off. I learned not to eat a huge meal because when my stomach is full- that's a trigger. Ugh.
My dogs are wondering why I haven't gone outside when I let them outside. Finally did it last night, but had me cell phone with me to distract the urge. I'm hoping you stick with it. WE are doing ourselves a favor, not depriving ourselves.
