Relapsed but day 6 of no smoking

Hi everyone so my first quit day was Nov 10 and I did good; however, with the holidays I found myself cheating and then after 5 days of have 3-4 cigarettes, I was back to 12-15 a day. So I set a new date of January 1st and that didn't work. I would go all week without smoking and then on the weekend I would smoke 4-5 max. January 7, I had 3 cigarettes in a row and I said that's it- no matter what I'm done. I am now on Day 6 and feeling great. I am taking the 2mg Nicorette lozenges and find that I can stay smoke-free thanks to having these mini lozenges. I take a total of 6 a day max. I joined a gym and I start with my personal trainer on monday. This weekend might be hard for me as my hubby is home and he smokes (he is trying to quit and he is very good at hiding his smokes and lighters). I will get through this weekend by reminding myself that my first workout is monday and I can't smoke and workout. My 3 kids are so proud of me as well. My oldest 15 cried when I relapsed and he saw me smoking and my 4 year old saw a no smoking sign and said mommy you don't smoke anymore so that sign doesn't matter to you. I am going to do it THIS time :)

That's the spirit........stay strong. You do not need those ciggies to get through the day....you just have to say NO.
Cheers.

Hi Maggie,
With every failure we learn something new even if we do not realize it at the moment!
There's a saying "A winner is just a loser who tried one more time" and this has never been truer than in the case of quitting smoking.
Good luck,
