I think it helps to realise just how much of an improvement you'll be feeling every cigarette you avoid, as they say every cigarette is doing you damage we use em so often if we could slow down our rationalising our every thought to smoke perhaps every temptation start breathing feel our lung capacity breath feeling the oxygenation process in our chest as we breath for the duration of a lousy deal fix may help with cravings perhaps we must have a physical self examination every time were tempted I've been following this thread for close to a month and quit beforehand I've struggled since a hospital admission MHU early 2016 i seem to start every admission I've struggled since 95 having also used pot not heavily tho for approximately two years i did I've not smoked all my life i quit for three years early 2000s tho it's been ongoing and I'm serious about being free of it I'm very encouraged by others long term freedom I'd like to permanently stop I've well and truly had enough chest pains breathing difficulties paying for it and since i stopped I'm breathing nicely and my chest feels like it's absorbing oxygen better and for me that's everything I've also noticed I'm less depressed also a little more energetic my friend of 47 just suffered a triple stroke and heart attack now suffering partial paralysis that's reality breath focus on your chest oxygen absorption and preserve our living organism those evil cigarette companies think of them profiteering from this one man wrote that man can have a lot of setbacks and still move on but once his health is gone he may never recover so give yourself a mini physical before lighting up i think it'll help in the struggle

Good luck with your quit, moondance, I hope it goes well for you. It's hard to believe, even when all of the evidence is in front of us, that smoking is making us so unhealthy. I wish I could turn back the clock and start again.

It's all about staying fit, healthy, happy and living a long life. That's my goals. Smoking won't get ME there.

I actually just got a physical exam at the docs + bloods done yesterday (A big fear of mine) I'm so glad I went. The doc was very impressed with my functions and said I was very healthy. All apart from a little bit of high blood pressure. Which was most likely the whitecoat syndrome kicking in hahaha.
