7 days down

schedule 10 Dec 2017

That's a relief. It wasn't that bad. I feel that it is best not to dwell on it, just move on and do something else. I haven't suffered that much, just poor sleep (but do you need as much sleep if your body doesn't need to recover as much after a days smoking?), and slower metabolism.

It's easier to get through the day if you are working full time (I haven't smoked at work for years, being too ashamed of my habit). This week I cycled to and from work, which is quite a long way, but it took up most of my morning and evening, so there wasn't much more wakeful time.

Please don't let me fail this time, I really want to succeed.

I have been listening to Alan Carrs easy way for women, and reading Joel spitzer's Never take another puff.  I also find 'Stayquit.com' to be useful, especially Nicotine Adiction 101.  Alot of the site is too American for me.

I think that knowledge is power, and the better we can be prepared, the more likely we are to succeed.

Now, I just need to work out what my triggers are.  I have quite twice before and lasted for three months, then had a party (by myself) to celebrate with "just two cigs" and started again,of course.
