The end game

I wake up coughing every morning. I know it will be sooner than later my coughing will end up me being in a coffin!!!! I want to save and go overseas with my mum and stepdad... I’m nearly 37 yrs old and want more out of life... I also want to get a “new man” ... a Labradoodle to keep me company.. the amount of money 💰 I spend is ridiculous!! I really hope these CHAMPIX work. I’m on day 3 and don’t feel anything at all. Good or bad.. when does it kick in?? Any help or tips be appreciated.. 💕👍🏻 Mandy
Hi Mandy, I also used Champix to quit smoking. I was a smoker for 34 years and I am now 54 days smoke free. I found champix started to really kick in after the first week. I also made a point of changing my habits whilst still smoking so when i stopped it was easier. For example I stopped smoking in my car, I also had breakfast when in the past a smoke was my breakfast. I also kept reminding myself how much a packets of smokes cost, it was getting to the point where I was just working to support my habit ...ridiculous. So good luck you can do it

Thanks guys, I’m starting to feel it on day 4 but I went to the 1 mg tablet. The 0.5g were not doing anything ...

I also think you need to control it too, psychologically, I'm not relying on Champix to do all the work, maybe that's why I'm seeing a huge difference in just 4 days. I've only had one ciggie today & that was at 8.30 this morning. I have one left in my packet & then that will be it, Yay!

Hi Mandy
Just wondering how you’re succeeding. Hope you’re holding in there.
On to my 3rd day today without a puff 👍🏻

Hang in there Mandy you are past the gatepost now good on you for having a go, I found spending a lot of time reading these posts helps a lot to take your mind of it, Try also setting a few short worthwhile tasks for yourself and if you give your full attention you will find the days go by quicker and you think about it less, Champix is a good NRT but you have to put in a bit of legwork as well eventually the Coughing and purging will pass. Be good to yourself and give yourself a pat on the back every now and again because you deserve it and be proud of what you have acheived Ive only got 52 Days up and already the money Ive saved has got me things I never had not to mention my health I still remember my first couple of weeks spitting out the poison I baited myself with and the pains in my chest Im so glad I stuck with it and you can do it too just for today, one day at a time. Ron

Your Very Welcome Mandy, Keep up the good work you must be starting to feel a bit better by now I've tried Champix too how are you going with them?
