Thank you

I just want to say THANK YOU to all who contribute to these discussions, both starters and success stories. The doctor told me that I had to join a support group to have the champix and I did so reluctantly. I know now that I will be successful, unlike other attempts, due to the stories and support. To everyone who is just starting, please be kind to yourself and allow yourself to cry, eat, stay awake, netflix binge, drink or whatever helps you through. For a week the withdrawals almost felt the same as the broken hearted grief when my relationship died. But yay, just 30 days down the track and I feel great, proud, strong, confident, rich. Just remember, you are not depriving yourself of anything, there is no reason to smoke, and nothing bad will happen if you don't. I honestly can't say I am truly free, because i still think about it, but thanks to the stories, I know that if I keep on track, I will be soon.

Hi Jakki,
Good on you, you give me hope I have been smoke free for 9 days now on Champix, and I have to say it is great, on day seven could not stand the taste of the cigarette so that was my last one, I find it so much easier than cold turkey the withdrawals were so bad I gave in each time but this time I feel much more confident and when the urge comes distract myself by going on computer and read the stories or do something else. Thank you for your story and I love your positivity.

Hiya Jakki,
That's awesome and congratulations!!!
Very pleased to hear that it's all working out for you.
