I have been a smoke for 7 years. Doesn't sound like a lot compared to others. Today is my second day without a cigarette after nearly 20 a day everyday if not more for the last 7 years.

I decided to quit, not for my health, my family my boyfriend or because i truly wanted to because deep down we all know if it didnt kill us, cost the earth and smell bad everyone would be a smoker.

It was more the smell, cost and reliability smoking had in my life. They were ruling and ruining my life.

I finally after a lengthy process of being broke having a terrible few years and having horrendous health to boot, cancer scare to give champix a go.

Its not a wonder pill. I repeat IT IS NOT A WONDER PILL. It is an aid.

If you tell yourself enough that this aid will help you or make you quit, come quit day the faith you have in the pills and your will power take over.

I stood today with a smoker without feeling like a smoke.

I didnt have to make a drive to the supermarket last night because i only had 2 smokes left.

Its only been 2 days i normally love smoking but i feel finally free. I smell good my bank account is healthy and i know its cos of champix and my will power.

Get on it. Do yourself, your account, your health your smell and overall happiness a boost and buy this awesome aid.

Most of all, do it your way. For you. Dont be forced or pushed. This is your quit, its your decision

But,

If i can flush my sticks and not need one, yeah you can.

Agree wholeheartedly with you about Champix. It definitely makes the process easier. I'm coming up to one month off the smokes, and take a full tablet in the morning and half a tablet at night. I still dream, but feel no different due to the reduction in the nightly tab. Eventually I'll take half in the morning and half at night. Rarely if at all, do I get a 'craving', I think it's more the habit that needs to be broken. After all, that habit has been with me on a daily basis for many, many years. I am eating more so getting a little pudgy around the middle, but that's something I need to work on a little down the track. We definitely do not need to waste our money, our health, our social acceptance or anything else because of these filthy cigarettes. So many negatives about them, can't even think of one positive.
