I want to quit but am having trouble as I feel happy when I smoke. I smoke when I can not when I have too. I have quit before but got bored so I started smoking again. Need advice on how to become smoke free without going back. What did u do to keep active?

Hi Tiger1. So how do you think those of us who liked smoking managed 30, 40 or more years. Have you worked out why we are so determined to stay quit? Have you realised that only about 4% actually succeed for a considerable length of time? Think how bored you will be when you pay all your spare cash to support this addiction. You will be thoroughly bored because you will be broke. Why don't you just give yourself a pay rise in the vicinity of $230 a week? That is what your habit may be costing you either now or in the future. Hope you are truly dinkum about saving yourself from yourself.

hi you smoke to avoid boredom, you involve some sport activities. these need healthy lung.. proper smoke free lung can permit you to do sport activities, you can ride mountain. can run long distance. these activities are not boring. and these physical activities help you to quit smoking. I smoked for 12 years . now i quit for just 7 days. it is a pleasure to me.i take very deep breath when urging comes. clearly say yourself that smoking can not release stress or boredom.. actually it is the cause of stress.so good wishes to you for smoke free days..

Red-67 is right. There is nothing good about smoking. Its a lie. Its fooled us into believing its enjoyable. Enjoyment should last but smoking enjoyment doesn't and is an anti-climax
