Take each hour / crave / etc at a time. Looking at the big picture can be overwhelming. You need to just look at the smaller things and take each step at a time.
Giving up smoking is not easy but it is possible. Believe in yourself, believe in your own inner strength, and stay distracted in those first few weeks. Also, stay close to this site - we are all in this together no matter where we are in our journey and we're happy to help and support others in their journey.

As Crasher says, take one step at a time. Count the minutes, hours, days and then weeks etc. The scary bit is if you put yourself through those initial quit times. They are without a doubt the hardest times. If you like yourself enough, then you may just go the distance. If your triggers are stress related, forget it. Stay smoke free and deal with the stress later with a clear head. Smoking does absolutely nothing. Do post and visit this site often says me on day 599 smoke free cold turkey. If I can do it so can everyone else.
