I have been off the fags for 35 days now and for a lifetime smoker like me I'm really happy. I know it's early days but I'm just trying to stay quit one day at a time. Love this site and the inspiration of other peoples stories. Thanks for listening!

Hi Barry. Congrats on your 35 days. Like you I was a lifetime smoker (53years). Gave up on Sept 7th 2015. Welcome to icanquit. Good luck.

Hi Barry1956....well done on your 35 days smoke free after smoking for nearly all your life.

Like myself a smoker for 46ish years I know what a great personal achievement this is to cease the Nicotine habit.

Yes 1 day at a time.

What method Barry did you use to quit?

Well done on being 35 days free of the dreaded cigs. I agree with Jenno, 1 day at a time and before you know it a year will have passed....since time flies as we get older. Older and healthier, healthier and happier :)

Thanks for the good wishes and encuragement . Over 40 days now, but who's counting (me that's who). I'm finding the patches and nicotene spray very helpful.
