Champix

Good old Champix, day 4 on it and 3 days til my quit day. Still smoking, but not enjoying it. I know the first week will be the hardest but once I get past that I'll be ok. I stopped for over 8 months a couple of years ago, had lots of support and a zillion reasons to quit. Unfortunately slowly but surely, I started up again. So stupid of me. Circumstances are a little different this time, but I can do it, I have to do it. I've been reading lots of stories and comments on here and I'll be a regular visitor because I believe sharing with others on the same journey is invaluable, all the highs and lows, but especially the highs. The successes, whether it's one day off the smokes or 600 days. Baby steps, an hour at a time, whatever it takes.

Hi Judes, welcome to the Icanquit page..
How I like your enthusiasm on quitting again and I truely hope for whatever reason you have decided to give it another go, you are going to succeed this time round.
We all have the highs n lows in our lives but the main thing is you can brush off the lows and try your hardest to get the highs again
Like you said....baby steps.
Looking forward to installments on your journey.

Good luck Judes, I have given up smoking before and restarted, I used Champix this time around and am now 68 days smoke free, the first 3 weeks were the hardest, my motto was that one fag.... will lead to smoking loads.... so I took some advice from here, and put an orange in the fridge and by the time it had frozen I had forgotten about the fag I wanted.... I also forgot about the oranges in the fridge so I had loads of frozen oranges:)) good luck

Thanks guys....the orange story has me thinking, not quite sure how that worked....
