Getting started !

Hello guys ! I smoke a cigarette rwhen I woke up. I hadn't taken one in two days -yeah, two is quite a low number. But I want to quit. I want to be able to run longer and faster again, I want to save money and make myself proud. I've been buying those cigarette packs for three years now, and it's big time I quit. Until last week, I smoke 10 a day, reduced to 5 and soon, will reduce to 0. With my stressfull studies, smoker friends and lingering depression, I know it won't be easy, but that's not a challenge I can't take.
Yet yesterday, just before an important exam, I bought a pack. I couldn't avoid passing by a store, and the next second I was on the sidewalk, smoking and feeling lame and better at the same time. This has to be the last ones I smoke. I hope to find support here, from your stories, from people who already quit that s**t, and that it will give me support when my motivation falters (cause at times I know it will, and I know I don't want it to ruin everything). So, let's get started !

Hello Querea :) You will find support here .. and can come back any time you want to keep you reminding how many people are currently quitting. How many people from different ages and countries are battling nicotine !! I am so happy you also want to quit and be nicotine free :)

3 years may be easier to quit than 45 years. Mind you, after 45 years that would no doubt equate to over $500 000 in your ashtray... Now, that's a lot of shoes, bling, mortgage payments, the odd Lamborghini etc... Hope you quit sooner rather than later...
