Encouragement

Gday,
I'm just starting my anti-cigarette campaign... again (most of you would be familiar with that feeling!)
All I'd like to say at the moment is Thankyou!
Because from reading your individual, actual experiences I'm inspired to have another go! Over 30 odd years I've had too much practice at not stopping smoking!
Due to your stories I know I'm not alone, even if circumstances have me physically so. This time however I really think things will be different and I will make my son proud!!
Keep up the hard work people!
We're in this together and no-one else can truly understand like another ex-smoker!
I'll stop dribbling now
Again thanks!

Hi Mal. Good luck on your journey. The real battle is between you and your cigarette. Crush any thoughts of them being beneficial because they are not. Steel yourself for the fight. Take really deep breaths to beat the cravings. Keep close here and keep posting

Like Dobbin says this is a fight. Get your inner stubborn on like a donkey and don't give in... Good luck.

Hi Mad Mal. do you remember how pig headed you were when you learned how to inhale the poison, not to mention persevering to make it a habit... Well, reversing that is not easy. So be as pig headed in your quest to cease as you were to begin. We will be cheering you on and hope you choose to succeed and beat the demon.

It's a great first step, a BIG first step - deciding it's time to stop. We're all capable of quitting, you just have to believe that you can and will succeed. Glad to have you on board our train to freedom, Mal. Let us know how you're getting on and if you're going cold turkey or with nrt's. It's always fascinating to learn how different people get on using different methods. Stay strong and keep busy. We want you to do well and to find the freedom that we have all found. Go for it!!!!!
