Hi all,

Day 4 and checking in...

Today I struggle with a VERY sore throat. It's red and inflamed and hurts to swallow. Did anyone else get this?

I'm still coping with the cravings very well - they don't seem to be as strong now :o)

I have a very high level concentration job and I must admit I haven't done much work for the last 4 days because I just cant focus. I'm hoping to "write this week off" and start fresh next Monday. Lucky I'm self managed and work autonomously...

Thank you for all your kind words and encouragement - I enjoy coming here as it keeps me focussed. I read all your stories too and relate to some - This is a great forum and I appreciate you all

Hello again Crasher, yes you go through a rough time for a while while the body cleans. With your throat , if you gargle with a glass of lukewarm water and a tblsp salt you will find it kills the infection. Do not swallow and do not rinse with fresh water. When finished, eat a piece of fruit. I had that after a coughing episode which lasted 3 days on and off. Hope it helps. Cheers.

Thanks guys, I tried the salty mouth wash - its beginning to work - Thank you

All of this just makes me realise more the poisons I was filling my body with voluntarily - disgusting!!!

Day 5 today and the dizzy spells have hit....

I had a concentration issues during the first few days too, it's perfectly normal and normal concentration will resume. You've don't brilliantly already, keep going. Keep aware that the cravings will hit at the oddest of moments, mine hit 3 months in. I got through it, as we all have and so will you. Chin up, stay strong and enjoy your freedom from smokes.

Hi drink lots of water and theres an app called my quit buddy it help too the cravings hit at all different times the app on your phone will heaps with the cravings and lollipops help for a while too keep strong you can do it
