Day 0

Hi Peter, well done. I assume that means you have tried previously, so you know your triggers and all that. Stay positive and focused. Keep busy with a list of jobs you've been meaning to do for some time. This is the beginning of the new you, it's an exciting time. Be proud of yourself and smile, your taste buds will return, your skin will clear and the colour will return. Keep posting your stories on here, you can do this. This is the time you will stay quit.

Thanks for the comments WhiteWillow, nice of you to write.Only the first day but doing well so far and staying positive.Had a little dummy spit earlier but took a deep breath and every thing all good now.Wish you all the best with your journey.

Always a pleasure, perhaps the dummy spitting would have happened anyway? We do like to blame the quitting but in actual fact is just that sometimes we just have a crap day. Non-smokers have rants too, so it's not just us :) You're on day two now, yes? Thinking you're probably in Oz. How's it going? It's lunchtime here in the UK, so I'm off for a smoke free lunch. Yay for me.

ha ha yeah the strapping machine was the culprit. On day 2 in sunny Darwin and still in quit mode though had a slip up on day 1.All was going well up until around my fith beer at the local pub.Thinking i might have to give that up for a while too considering i only went there for a couple.Glad it's friday ,come on knock off time :)
