Under Ten A Day

Posted in Getting started
schedule 9 May 2016

I am cutting down to quit. For a month I have smoked less than ten a day. I am feeling good about this. This time I am feeling in control. Steady, steady, weaning.

I realise how easy it would be to smoke a lot again. I am not going to be complacent. I intend to build up more time and better it.

I have been very frightened to quit because of freak health complaints. So, I don't know what will happen to me. So I guess there will always be something to look forward to in the morning.

only one way to find out what's going to happen when you stop :)

its been better and worse than I expected and to find out what that really means not having a smoke .

Good luck Penelope Jane. Don't be frightened by stopping. It won't ever be an easy path, but the rewards at the end are priceless. Roseanne's ripping the bandaid off quick is the best analogy for giving it up. Don't want to slowly tear an Elastoplast off. That is what it is like cutting down. Hurts like hell for a long time.

The band aid is gone in seconds. And yes , there is the need for nicotine that kicks in as well. For a long time. At the moment, I do it one hour/one day at a time. It can be done. Keep posting
