Time I stopped

It's doable, that's the thing. People stop all the time and I have so much respect for those that do. Smokers aren't stupid, we know the risks, the costs and the stink of it all but we continue to do it. A lot of it is all in the mind and congratulating yourself on not having that cigarette, feeling smug. I've stopped and started again a number of times but this time I have to do it. I've decided to make a note every day of each one I didn't have and embraced the niggling feeling. I'm going to treat the smoking niggles like a person I didn't want in my life any more (I know who) and see how I get on.

you can do it :) just gotta get through one craving at time, its not for ever its just that one then the next one, its not so easy but I can promise you wont die and nothing bad will happen.
just gotta want to quit more than smoke.

Thanks Larney11 & IC for your encouragement. I love the "ex" idea and the song, made me laugh. Perhaps we each need a stopping song, preferably not Gloria Gaynor, well not for me anyway. You're right, I won't die from stopping. I really want to do this, I'm so tired of lying to my mum about not smoking (she thinks I stopped two years ago).
Anyway, onwards and upwards. I've not had 4 cigarettes so far. Yay for me.
