A New Hope
So I have learn't that just one puff can make all the wrong difference I am nearly through day one of resisting the dark side of the smoke with my second attempt I have arranged a call back later today to speak with someone the first time I have done this makes sense as I do like talking things through (and yes I am male) A work mate gave me some NRT gums and a few patches to get me started today (a big thank you) so I am not doing this cold turkey as I'm not fond of cold turkey or turkey in general to be honest. I have a mantra that every smoke I don't have gets me closer to taking my daughter over to the UK to see The Doctor in Cardiff this I want to do before I am 50 (one of my Jedi Mind Tricks). The other is to prove that we can achieve what appears impossible and daddy can do this for her and most importably for himself because it is ok to quit somethings. May the smoke free force be with you!

Welcome, wishing you well on this attempt, just focus on small steps to start one day or one hour is not nearly as scary as never. I am still only looking forward one day, and telling myself that there is no such thing as one puff or one cigarette.
I actually like cold turkey , but this hasn't been fun at all with all the changes going on in my body and brain.
