Here we go

I posted here last week and recieved some lovely supportive comments.
Yesterday I was 'supposed to quit" but instead of smoking 25, I only smoked 10, today I have come to work with no cigarettes, and I have no access to a shop to buy any, I have on hand a nicorette inhaler and am looking forward to my new journey as a non smoker. I have read some will power stragtegies and hope I dont get to irritable or agitated and can take each craving with being mindful that they will get weaker over time.
Hope evryone is doing well on their journey of not smoking :)
Day 1 for me!!

well done we all had day one no one gets to not smoke without day 1 :)
keep at it one day at time.

Welcome, hope today wasn't as bad and you thought it would be, use whatever you need to beat the cravings, some go cold turkey but that is not possible for some of us, take a day at a time. The first few are the worst, but we all have bad days just don't give into those cravings good luck and keep posting it is nice to see how others are going

The fear of quitting seems to be harder than the actual quit. When I look at it, the act of smoking is actually harder than the quit. Always making sure that you fon't run out of cigarettes, trying to get the bad smell off so that you don't offend others, hiding from the public eye so as not to be condemned for polluting the air of everyone around you

thank you everyone for your support. I am sorry to say I did 5 hours and then crashed :( This is so hard. Take 2 :(
