Precomtemplative

I have been smoking for ten years now. Im 27 and I don't want to smoke for the rest of my life. Ive barely tried to quit in the past and I'm honestly terrified of quitting. The financial aspect is definitely motivating me to quit as well as health. I haven't made a plan yet. I see people on here going weeks without smoking and it amazes me. I see some recommendations for champax not sure if i should try with gum and mints or patches. Im overwhelmed. Good luck to you all giving up the deliciously deadly

Go for whateva you feel comfy with honey, i am 45 and have tried patches a couple of times it didn't work the first time, worked the 2nd but dumb me started just having "a few" after about a year and i reckon that was about 9/10 years ago?? Then i was back on the cigies..Ahhhhh.... i have truley had enough of the cost, the outcast, and i am ALLWAYS making sure that i have enough cigies for the night😈😈😈😈😈 lol lol ... champix has worked for me so far as you may have read... maybe not 4 everyone when you read the stories. ... but give it a go, but you still have to want to do it and fight that urge... ahh😤😤😤😤 its not a magic cure but it has sure helped myself and my best mate after 30 years on the cigies. ... you can do it !!!!!

You know, it is getting up the nerve to quit that is the hardest thing, the rest is a cakewalk in comparison to the wretchedness of smoking.
Just give up for the day, nothing terrible is going to happen.

Thanks for your advice and encouragement guys much appreciated. Im not giving up thinking about it and today kept count of many I had. I just need to keep it in my head that I can quit and I think talking to my GP is a good idea thanks.
I like the will power section the positive thinking is key!!
