I have set a quit Date

Posted in Getting started
schedule 13 Feb 2016

I was doing my families budget again this morning and notice that my hubby & are spending $800 per month on cigarettes.. I suggested to him that maybe it is time we quit again.

He agrees.. So while he may take Zyban or champix I am going to attempt to do it cold turkey.

I know that day one is the toughest on my so I am going to do it on my next day off work when I am by myself and have no one else to take it out on.

I can sew all day and not bother anyone!

You can do it! It is all about willpower. Take a deep breath and go through the day one, after that you ll start counting: 2, 3, 4... I believe in you.

It is great you will be doing this together and have made a plan. I have found a lot of sound advice and support from people on this site and went the cold turkey route myself (now at 106 days smoke free). I exercise, drink lots of water and keep busy (sewing is great hobby as you can't smoke and sew at same time). Let us know how you are doing and start living a healthier, wealthier and fresher life. Good luck

I did the same thing, got a prescription for Champix from my doctor but tried cold turkey first and since and after 3 weeks of giving up, I gave the prescription back and told my doctor I didn't need it. Now the benefits of having so much will-power, I believe I can now achieve anything!! I've signed up to a gym and set a goal to lose 27kgs in 12 months!! I'm gonna look and feel good this time next year!! Happy trails!!
