I have just started to try and quit. I have tried patches and they didn't seem to work so now when I feel like a smoke, I chew chewing gum.

Take the plunge. You can replace one drug for another but if you go cold turkey you will know you are in control. It's all about you and what you want, not some other drug. Mind you, if that is what will keep you on track, so be it. Try pulling your own strings... Wish you well

I don't take drugs. I was addicted to drugs as a child and ended up in hospital three times. If I can beat that, and cancer, I can beat this. But thank you for your tip.

Thanks Nodrah. If it helps, the bible says, "Matthew 18:19 | View whole chapter | See verse in context Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven." So let's agree that it works for us.
