schedule 26 Sep 2015

This is my second serious try at giving up the ciggies. My first was quite successful given i lasted more than 2-years after taking CHAMPIX for about 2 months.

I have signed up to CHAMPIX again given it worked last time, but i'm not sure if it'll work as well this time around. My quite date is Monday 28th.

My hubby will also try to quit that day but doesn't like the thought of CHAMPIX so he is trying to use patches - we have to try to be quit buddies for each other, like we are in other parts of our lives.

If anyone's interested, i know many people say they suffer mood swings and some nausea, have vivid dreams and generally don't feel right with CHAMPIX, but it works for me.

I did have some crazy dreams but they weren't anything i couldn't handle, in fact isn't it interesting how the subconscious work? I only felt nauseous if i didn't eat before i took my pill so that one's preventable i believe.

BTW hubby and I aren't spring chickens. We have our first grandchild due in 4wks and are shouting ourselves an overseas trip for a month for my 50th in December. We want to live longer to see our families grow, and to visit other lands and have new experiences - smoking only holds you back!

Anyway, here we go, wish us luck....

Your trip sounds great. I am sure your family will appreciate your efforts.

Good luck to both of you. I hope you have as smooth a run as is possible. I agree with you about the dreams. They are vivid and plentiful but it is interesting to have a glimpse into the sub-conscious which was, by and large, previously hidden by all those chemicals in the cigarettes.
