Well getting ready to quit I get nervous even setting a quit date trying to cut down first my reasons health and money also I have a dog who is always by my side and I am blowing smoke into her lungs...

schedule 22 Sep 2015

Good on you for getting ready. I think it is a good idea to make a list of all the things that will be good about being a non-smoker (like standing in the street, feeling like a real dork, saving money, not smelling like smoke, being able to take deep breaths without coughing, etc). Then set a realistic date. It is going to be forever so make sure that you are really ready for it. They say it should usually be about two weeks in the future but I took a bit longer and told everyone so that I could not let the date slip. I would also talk to your doctor as he or she will have some good tips. This website is also fantastic.

Not smoking is such a good thing to do and I wish you all the very best.
