7 days

Hi All, Well here we are and its day 7 already without a cigarette.
Yesterday was the biggest challenge so far being the weekend and playing with alcohol, It was tough especially that first can of beer. Was a rollercoaster ride most of the evening but got through with a big pack of nuts.....
I had a patch on (same one) for the first cupola days but when it came off in the shower I decided to not put another on and see how long I could last but havnt put another on yet which is good....Keep strong guys we can beat this habit

Wow Nodrah - that is fantastic and one week is a terrific milestone as it is really, really hard. I think it is good that you went out and behaved as you normally would by having a beer and staying for the evening. We have to carry on with our lives whilst dropping the smoking habit - we cannot alter our lives altogether. And as for the weekends, well I have found them by far the toughest but I have to say that this weekend has been the easiest yet.
Wishing you well this week - stay strong and determined.

I am cutting down still. I envy you having a week up smoke-free. How do you do it? I am stopping at night. I am postponing in the morning. I go easy in the afternoon. Today I went 4.5 hours smoke-free. There is still something lacking in what I am doing or thinking. Please help.

just need to get your head around the fact that you are not going to give in to those cigarettes any more.....and take it 1 day at a time...who am I to talk.....last time I gave up for TEN years and still took it back on...have been smoking this time round for 4 years and that's it.....Never again

Hi Nodrah, well done on 7 days as we all know how tough that is. Like you I went 10 years smoke free and then made the mistake of starting again, thinking I could just have one. So new mantra now is N.O.P.E Not One Puff Ever. Keep strong and visit here often it does help and like you say we can beat this habit.
