6 attempt

Today I begin my 6th attempt at giving up smoking. After over 30 years of smoking I am hoping this time I can stay quit. The ads say it gets easier each attempt so I am hoping this is true. This time I feel that I want to give up for myself which my other attempts were for others nagging me. My decision to try again was made when I went out socially and I was the only smoker. When I went outside to the smoking area which used to be full of people there was only one other. Wish me luck.

There a few of us who started today and we are all cheering for each other.we should be very proud we have taken a big step today and decided to quit. We can do this .its this attempt that counts , look forward remain positive tell yourself how strong you are. GO GO GO!!!

I am learning to type.
I also have made a screen saver with my fashion illustrations.
A month ago I made some jelly from dried apples.
My community nurse was coming to my home weekly.
I might be discharged from hospital tomorrow.
Quitting is such a freedom.
Let us liberate ourselves.

Hi By this time ... I have tried to quit smoking so many times. I am proud of you for not giving up "giving up". I have finally kicked the habit (33 days smoke free) and I am confident this time I have done it (I have no interest in them whatsoever). I think when you make up your mind, you can achieve your goal. Good Luck and we are all right behind you xx

Hi all, We all had "that 1st day" and we know how hard it is and I'm sure we have attempted to quit many times before but when I read "This Time" post I think you have hit the nail on the head when you said that "my other attempts have been because other people have been nagging me" I think that until you are ready and you are giving up for the most important person ,that is "YOU" there may be no incentive other than the naggers. We"ve all had that. I only told 2 people that I intended to quit to avoid that "do on you blah blah blah nag" I went and bought a new overlocker for my sewing the other day yep $900.00 cash ,my smoking money saved in 8 weeks. WOO HOO keep up the great work guys, keep inttouch and take a day at a time.
