I don't know how many times I have attempted to give up the ciggies. Usually on a weekly basis and even on and off for a couple of years. I now realise it is pointless to keep going through the many emotions of withdrawal associated with giving up smoking on a neverending basis as I know now that I am not doing myself any favours by prolonging this agony. This is why I am determined to succeed this time once and for all.

Giving up can definately seem like a never ending cycle. I think you finally come to a point where you've just had enough. When you really want to give up you will. Stay determined, focused and keep up the good work. You can do it!

Hi,

I tried to quit many times, and I'm not joking when I say it took me over 10 years. I though I would never be able to do it. But I didn't know it then but I do now, every time I tried to quit, I learnt a little bit and every time I got better at it. Then when the time was right I did it. So never quit, quitting. Its the best feeling in the world, and the best thing you can do for yourself. Good luck and stick with it.

I lost count of the attempts it took me before I was finally successful after 29 years of smoking. it's now nearing 2 years not smoking and I'm exercising 6 days a week, feel awesome and will be around for my kids. Never give up giving up. Good luck and start to exercise in combination with giving up. It will assist you greatly.
