not long to go

breathing hurts a bit, thats the bottom line. i look forward to getting well soon. i have my quit day set, and am only having one or two a day now - usually only having up to 5 ish but don't think that makes it any easier really after 35 years an addict. i'm remembering the quit ad that helped me in the past, the little nicotine characters that were demanding the cigarettes, that helped me see it as something that isn't me wanting the nicotine and giving me some added willpower to say no to them. now i just thought i'd share something that helps me want to quit at this point, and at this point i am working hard at wanting to quit, otherwise it just stays on going... i am going to visit my dentist and get my teeth cleaned, that will help me stay off them too. Also thought it would help to soak my feet every day to reduce stress. Avoid getting stressed, breathing carefully. hope your all doing well today :)

I just try to get to get through one day at a time ,worked so far ,day 4 ,no smoking.

look like you are in right path. when you quit smocking receiptors in the brain cells feel shortage of nicotine and looks forward to it. this is called craving. when they dont get it they will adjust and practice without it. this period or time is restless ness. remember it and just observe it. best of luck.

you are both doing well, keep it up for freedom :) i am not far behind, i look forward to there being some distance from them, 4 days is on a home run

I smoked for 55 years up until 2 years ago and have been clean since. It can be done and I considered I did not have great will power in this regard but I am fairly competitive, so I treated it like a sport. It was me against them. Those little tempters who wanted me to light up again and every time I beat them off I felt like I had won a round. Keep fighting Pranayama. You can win.

Thanks Warts! I found your advice helpfulwhen experiencing a craving, i met the challenge and said NO... i love winning, i love beating them off. Thanks it's a good strategy. You must be really enjoying the long term effect of thrashing them :) go you winner.
