Keep busy

This morning I was feeling a little sorry for myself 3 days without a cigarette. I thought this was negative thinking so changed it to I'm a non smoker. I need to keep busy. I had smoked for 40 years. Yesterday I went and bought a heap of things so I could do some cake decorating.so today my mind was occupied it was a little easier

Hi Bridie, Hope your still going strong. Have you been decorating your cakes? I understand the feeling of losing a friend too. I like how you changed it to your a non smoker, that's exactly what I've had to do. I am on day 13 now. This weekend I will give the house a good spring clean. I was smoking for about 25 years. But it is fantastic to feel healthier now and cleaner. I drink more water now and excercise is my next focus. I am keeping the mental in check too. As your mind will say anything to make you have one. All the best. Stay strong. Sharon :)

hi Bridie, your post sounds very positive, even though you feel a little sad. i set my quit date at march 1 but this past week i have been taking blackmores vitamin b complex each day which help to lift my mood, the vitamin b6 and b12 work on the nerves and moods. Also, reading everyone's stories on this site has helped, so today i decided i may as well quit already (i have been a serial quitter) and hope this time the decision to quit lasts. i feel abit sad that i have done this for so long, that i have caused my body to suffer (35 years of smoking) It's a good time now to let go, by March 1 i could swing into the type of thinking that prevents me from making progress, so here we go. Hope your cake decorating is proving to be fun. Thanks for your story. I hope you keep up the good work, you can do it... we can do it ;)

Thanks Sharon and pranayama, day 5 not going to say it's easy, but thank god for Champix. I'm still keeping myself busy. I didn't realise that when I smoked I would constantly reward myself eg do the vacuuming have a smoke wash the floors have a smoke etc. Sharon I have been busy decorating cakes.. Pranayama I took a bedrocks and vitamin B stress formula today. I like that I don't smell of those cancer causing sticks, also the money I have saved. Keep going Sharon and Pranayama we can do this.. I'm glad there is somewhere we can chat and help us to stay strong 😃

Good job on your quit! I too had to change this up a bit from my normal your on the right track keep at it, I will be too. I have been smoke free for almost 80 days, today is 78 smoke free days and I love it now.
