Looking for Inspiration!!!

Looking for some inspiration - I gave up smoking on 29 December at 11.30 pm (21 days and 11 hours ago) after finishing the last cigarette I had in my packet. I decided that the next day would be a new day. I am using combination therapy, patches and a nicotine inhaler as well as an E-Vap (which doesn't use any chemicals but gives me the menthol taste I love). I try not to use the inhaler or E-Vap during the day too much and to my surprise I have found quitting much easier than I thought after smoking for over 30 years at a packet a day. I continue to exercise (gentle walking 5 days per week for around an hour) as I did prior to quitting, drinking lots of water and haven't changed my lifestyle at all apart from not smoking. My biggest struggle is that I am continually tired even when I have had a good nights sleep and I find this incredibly frustrating - I can fall asleep at the drop of a hat. Has anyone else felt like this and how did you work through it? I thought that after 3 weeks this may have improved but no such luck!!!!

HI GiveItUp, Congratulations on your quit, you're doing fantastic. Keep up the good work. I quit smoking over 5 months ago coldturkey. I smoked for 20 years a pack a day. A month before I quit I kept telling myself that I have to quit smoking now, and 8-9-2014 I did.
I don't get tired easily. I sleep easily. I love being a non smoker;). I will not smoke again. Goodluck to you and stay quit.

hi giveit up, i gave up after a week you quit. but thinking is similar like you.
Hey Giveit, I have the same tired symptoms as you. My main goal is to quit smoking so if I feel tired, I rest. It's easy as that, someone once told me that we are shocking our bodies by not giving it what it is used to so your body is adjusting and may require more rest to repair. I don't know if there is any fact behind this but I chose to believe it. 30 years is a long time. Keep doing what you are doing and your body will reward you 10 fold.
ps i'm using the patch too. Maybe it's a side effect ? Don't know and truly if it is I can put up with it for the time being and I'm sure it will reduce as our dosage decreases. keep strong Giveit.
