Trying Again

I have lost count of how many times I have tried to quit smoking. It has been a part of my life for so long and I have wasted so much money on cigarettes. I am constantly clearing my throat and have a nasty cough in the morning when I wake up. Quitting smoking will be the single most important thing I can do for my health and I want to be free from cigarettes for good.

You can do it. I tried quitting so many times, and the fact that I smoked for so long msde me feel so bad about myself. Once you quit, you'll notice the extra cash in your wallet. Good luck. Trust me, I was a heavy smoker, and smoked for over 25 years.

Hi Deb63. You need to zero in on the main reason you want to quit. It must be for you and not for anyone else. I believe its the only true way to quit and stay quit is if the reason is because you want to for you. I wish you all the strength (Not luck) to stay quit as it is not easy but with the right support its amazing what you can do.

You got this your quit is for you. I tell myself I don't want one and I don't need one when a craving hits, they pass pretty quick. Occupy the thought with a different thought. I too am working on a new normal without smoking. It's hard to break the habit and addiction, you can over come it and breathe easier keep at it one at a time you got this.

You can do it Ddeb63, its doable;). I did! Its the best thing ever. Good luck on your quit!
