I was just wanting to know has anybody used hypnotherapy to give up smoking???

I tried it back in the 80s. Didn't do anything for me. I think it's a very individual thing on how you may respond to hypnotherapy though.

I've tried it twice. I didn't quit then, however I'm now on day 17 and I find I use the tools I learnt from hypno to stay focused. I really believe that if you're in the right headspace then any method can work. Good luck. It's been over 12 months since I last tried hypno. Honestly, best thing I've found is the Allan Carr book. Even though I didn't quit the 5 or so times I've read it, I think it's the reason I've found the last 17 days easy.

I had hypnotherapy on Wednesday this week and stopped cold turkey from more than 40 cigs a day. Its been a lot easier than stopping with patches or e cigarettes which I have also tried. So this is the beginningof my 4th day and so far so good!

I had hypnotherapy 53 days ago. It will work for you if you really want it to. It's not magic... it's still up to you. For me, so far, pretty good. Good luck!

Had hypnotherapy. 8 days after I gave up smoking like people say it depends on your headspace and to the reasons you as the individual want to quit....I was a 40 pack day smoker...my reasons were the smokes were making me feel sick every time I had one....the hypnotherapist also stated that it us as the smokers that still need to do the hard work they cannot make you quit just help your mind change its behaviours towards you smoking....you still need to be the one to stop...
