Positive thinking "I am a non smoker"

Day 6 without a smoke and going strong.  Smoked 20 a day for past 22 years.  I have always hated being a smoker but could never quit. I've tried patches, champax, hypnotherapy (3 times), Allen Carrs seminar ($600) and his book and have always failed. This time feels different. I'm using patches again and have no desire to smoke. I have a 5 month old baby and I don't want to breath this poison on him anymore.  I can't tell you how guilty I have felt.  I want to live for a long time to see him grow up, fall in love and have a family of his own. I'm not really a religious person, but I am praying everyday that I don't fail this time.

For anyone else out there who needs some inspiration, I really find the Allen Carr book helpful. Although I haven't quit in the past using his method, I find his words encouraging and inspiring.

Wow you sound just like me! I've been smoking from 20-30 per day and I'm planning on quitting this Monday. I've tried so many things aswell. Hypno 3 times, champix, cold turkey and 2 allen carr books. I agree that his books are inspiring also. Opens your mind and let's you look at smoking in a different light. I have a 6 month old and feel so guilty every time I light up so I know what you mean. How great you must be feeling right now. Congratulations and keep up the good work! Gives me hope that I can do it too so thank you for sharing :)
