first attempt

I am attempting to quit smoking for the first time. I went outside for a smoke and for the first time I thought to myself i really dont want to smoke anymore and i threw it away after 3 puffs. I am writing up a plan and going to do my best to stick to it from this point on! i want to do this mainly to have more energy to play with my little boy :-)

Congrats on your first step to quitting! It will be hard but when you look at your little boy think of all the things you will be able to do with him instead of puffing on a ciggie. Good luck

Good Luck Amber. I have a 6 month old. I couldn't wait for him to finish a feed or settle so I could run outside for a smoke. What a waste. I missed out on so much time with him cause I was always thinking about when I could next have a smoke. I let him fall asleep in my arms the other day and I watched a movie. It was so nice to cuddle him for a couple of hours and not think once about putting him down so I could get a fix. Also, so nice to give him heaps of kisses and not worry if I have rinsed my mouth or washed my hands. Best think I ever did was give up the smokes. 4 weeks tomorrow yay! Stay strong.
