If not for yourself -for someone else

I no longer enjoy smoking and it seems a pretty pointless thing for me to do and while this and the fact that I just know it's time, the clincher came and the decision was set in concrete when my 3yo grand daughter said the other day "when I grow up I can have a smoke too". It wasn't a question, it was a statement. That did it for me. And while it's been hard in the past to quit for myself, I know that quitting for my grand children will be easy. My quit date is Monday 11th August and I'm a bit excited about that.

I quit for my granddaughter too! I didn't want her to associate such a disgusting smell with me! She is only 2 and I want her Nannie to be someone she wants snuggle up with! And of course I do not want to set a bad example like you said! I am using champix, it's worked for me but does have some side effects but I have been able to deal with it, but it's not for everybody. Yes, get excited about your quit day and each day after that will be even more exciting, I was practically euphoric my first week! I'm day 80 now and still going strong. It feels so good to be smoke free! You can do this, do it for yourself so you can see your grandchildren grow up and do it for them so that you will be a positive role model. I wish you all the best on your journey!
