Caught a bad summer cold

Caught a bad summer cold and decided to quit smoking.  My 13 year old has been on me about quitting and this cold with a bad sore throat and constant coughing has made it easy to toss the smokes!  My cold is getting better but I have to stay strong and continue to not smoke as I keep my son in my thoughts.  It wasn't about getting a cold that made me quit, it's about being healthy for my teenager and around for many years to come.   I haven't told anyone in my family I am quitting as I don't want to be a failure.  I am trying to get through the first few weeks.  Today is day 3.  This weekend will be tough as I sit around the campfire.
