I have always been a pack a day smoker, yesterday I set a rule for myself and my son to smoke outside.THe result, to me, is amazing, we both smoked half a pack! That simple little change cut our smoking by half! So I celebrated today by banking my smoke money, omg I have a savings account with money in it! This feels fantastic, my quit day is this Monday and I feel I have made a positive step towards it. I have read a lot of stories on here and they are so inspiring, my favourite is that you have to think of yourself as a non smoker, it's not hard to do either and it's a positive feeling.I,m sure I have some hard days coming up but after these two days I am more confident than ever. Oh and don't take your smokes with you when you go shopping, a little thing I tried yesterday and survived!

Today I waited for an hour after waking up to have my first smoke outside, it wasn't to stressful as I had some breakfast instead. I don't normally eat first thing but it made it easier to go without a smoke. We are still only smoking outside and after banking my smoke money yesterday I still feel like I am in the best position I have ever been in to quit for good. I would normally have 2 smokes as soon as I get up.
