Make sure you have full stomach before taking champix

Hi Everyone, congratulations on taking the leap to quit the ciggies.  I am on champix, on week 9. I kept having a ciggie now and then after my official quit date - NOT RECOMMENDED!  It made the nausea much worse and put my quit journey back a few steps.  I am now totally smoke free for more than 20 days - because I kept having a puff now and then, it actually took some will power to make sure I didnt smoke.  I am starting to feel very proud of myself, I no longer stink of smoke or nicotine and actually feel taller.  The champix have definately helped heaps, although I have found that I have had lots of side effects such as nausea, crazy angry attitude, crazy dreams, weight gain and brain fog.  I think that the brain fog and short temper are the worst, but thankfully my partner is very understanding, he reads the forums too, and understands that this is but a temporary thing and we expect me to go back to my normal self in a few weeks.  I have noticed when exercising the brain fog and short temper is almost not there....so I think I am off for a work-out now!  Good luck all, everything we are going through is worth it in the end, to enable us to quit those horrid, life crippling ciggies.  All the best, Gumnut
