Stick with it

Well this is my second attempt at giving up smoking.....I am using Champix and after stopping the pills in the first week I am back on track. The worst side effect I am having is not being able to sleep, the occasional head ache and some bone pain. I visited a Nurse Practitioner who specialises in Smoking Cessation and found her very helpful and informative. Her advise was to not choose a quit day as she feels thats far too stressful. She said that one day soon the urge will dissapear and I believe her. If I light a ciggy now out of habit it tastes disgusting and I butt it out :) I am 56 years old and have COPD and have smoked since I was 17 :( If I had of known how addictive ciggys were I would NEVER started smoking.......

Just say NO NO NO and keep saying it! Its really expensive and do you really want to be not able to breathe ?

Just keep going forward, I am on my ?? attempt, (lots) and even though I have failed so many times, I keep trying to succeed. Failure only comes when you quit trying. Good luck to you!!

Not sure if I have done the right thing but I am taking 2 tablets with breakfast and then 1 at 3pm. This has helped me at least get some sleep as I was like a zombie. And only 2 cigs a day now
